Introduction: Hola Grado 4 We hope you had an excellent weekend! On Monday we are starting our office hours. Teachers will be available to support you at 2:30 on Google Meet. We will be having a Google Meets this Friday at 1:30 pm with the whole class.  On Tuesdays & Wednesdays we will have some small group time. You can find your time and group on Google Classroom.  If the time does not work just email your teacher at their @educbe.ca account. Some of you will have a different time in comparison to last week. Every week we will have material for you to go through as well as assignments. You will be able to find them all on Google Classroom. Remember that you need to be respectful and follow the digital citizenship expectations!  Please go through the Google Presentation entitled “Grade 4 Weekly Schedule” You will notice on the “stream” that there is very little you have to go through your classes for the information! Remember that the work should take approximately 5 hours each week. When you are done with the assignments and you know you have done a good job, you can continue to read on Raz Kids, and do math prodigy for extra practice!

Math: Area & Perimeter: Please review this presentation. You should go through lessons 1 & 2 this week (April 20-26) and lessons 3 & 4 next week (April 27-May 3). You can practice in your notebooks at home. You do NOT need to turn any of this in to your teacher. Please contact your teacher if you are confused and do not understand something. Your teacher can help you understand it better if there is any confusion. Word Problems: There are 8 word problems. You can complete them in your Math journals, take a picture and upload it to the Google Classroom (by clicking "add file"). Please show your work. You do not need to copy the question. As always please let your homeroom teacher know if you have any questions.

English Language Arts: Every week you will be expected to do a weekly journal entry. You will find the document as an assignment under English Language Arts. The journal has two prompts per week. The first will be a personal response to what you are doing, how you are feeling, and the experiences you are having. The second post will be a personal reflection to a reading, video, picture, presentation, we will ask you to read, examine, watch, etc.   Please re-read through your work and edit to ensure it makes sense and has correct COPS (capitalization, organization, punctuation, and spelling).  This week for the SECOND POST Please go through the Earth Day Reading Comprehension Assignment. Read the short article on Earth day and then follow the prompts. You can respond directly on the form. There are 4 sections Section 1: Write your name Section 2 Choose one of the prompts and answer it. 4-6 sentences Section 3: Multiple Choice (you choose the BEST answer) Section 4: Use complete sentences to answer the questions

Spanish Language Arts: There are 3 parts to the assignment this week: A)    Go through the Instructions on “Puedes Creerlo/ Can you Believe it” B)    Go to Quizlet and do some of the assignments to practice your Spanish Grammar C)    Complete Elementos del Cuento Document D)    If you have time…Write 5-10 sentences about your week in Spanish in your online Spanish journal. When you are done your online Spanish journal please hit Turn in.

Google Classroom & Parent Resources: There are documents that break these assignments down in google classroom under parent resources. Teachers have also moved all past assignments to week 1. Students have 1 week (Monday-Sunday) to finish the assignments.
